Tomara Tucker is a dedicated member of Attorney Salesia Smith-Gordon’s legal team, bringing both academic excellence and a heart for service to her role. Born and raised in Belle Glade, Florida, she graduated a year early from Spelman College with cum laude honors, and as a member of the esteemed Ethell Waddell Githii Honors Program, earning a 3.4 GPA and completing her honors thesis titled “How the Public/Private Divide in the Prison System Affects the Death Penalty [by State].

While at Spelman, Tomara was an active leader and advocate, participating in organizations such as the National Action Network led by Rev. Al Sharpton, Spelman Democrats Organization, and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Spelman Chapter. She also mobilized for Stacey Abrams’ 2022 gubernatorial campaign. A devoted member of St. John First Missionary Baptist Church in Belle Glade, Tomara has served in various ministries, including media ministry, Sunday school administration, and coordinating health fairs and food drives. Her passion for community service and her background in political science equip her with the skills and compassion needed to assist Attorney Smith-Gordon in the fight for justice for her clients.
