About Our Firm

WHO WE ARE

A Boutique Florida Personal Injury Firm

For more than 33 years, I have been honored to fight for justice on behalf of clients. And by doing so, giving voice to many other citizens. If you are the victim of another party’s negligence, you need legal representation with proven competency, respect and zeal all in a quest of protecting your interest and garnering deserved justice in an effective outcome. I have successfully handled cases in various areas of personal injury law including: truck, motorcycle, swimming pool, construction site, playground, lack of security, animal mauling, falling objects, impalements, improper security, improper flooring and medication (prescription) error resulting in significant bodily injuries. Additionally, wrongful death stemming from personal injury negligence is devastating to families. We bring years of experience, legal knowledge, and the highest level of professionalism to every case.

About the Firm

The Law Office of Salesia Smith Gordon is an African-American, woman-owned, boutique personal injury law firm based in West Palm Beach, Florida and with satellite office in Belle Glade, FL. We handle civil litigation matters, with a concentration on personal injury, wrongful death and medication error actions. By doing so, my team and I are able to maintain tight focus and continue to enhance our expertise in the types of cases we handle. The firm functions as a team. Each member of the team has been selected for their individual talent. Our emphasis on teamwork avails us with creative solutions and family-like closeness lost to larger firms.

We understand that the injuries and loss suffered are indeed very personal to you, which may also affect your family and others who depend upon you. We recognize that each person is unique, as are their circumstances, and these differences impact the final outcome of their case. The structure of our firm allows us to best coordinate our talents to represent you efficiently and effectively. We are honored to personalize the significance of your case. Although our firm is small in size, our advantage against big business and insurance companies is our persistence and unwavering commitment to you, our client.

My team and I passionately believe that many benefit when all have a fair chance to seek justice. We are dedicated to strengthening and upholding Florida’s civil justice system and the rights of citizens and consumers.

Legacy of Leadership and Community Impact

Our commitment to justice, community service, and trailblazing leadership is rooted in a powerful family legacy. Salesia Smith Gordon’s mother, Jeraldine Williams, embodies the spirit of breaking barriers and serving others. Williams was one of just 14 Black students to integrate the University of Florida in 1963 during the Civil Rights Movement and went on to become the first Black woman to win the national Hearst Journalism Award in 1967 one of the most prestigious honors in student media.

She built on her journalism foundation to advocate for underrepresented communities, founding and publishing the Capitol Outlook newspaper in Tallahassee in 1982 to spotlight issues often ignored by mainstream media. Years later, she served as First Lady of Florida A&M University, the historically Black institution she once longed to attend as a student.

Williams also pursued a legal career of service and advocacy, serving Floridians as an attorney and a medical patients’ advocate appointed by the Governor to the Board of Medical Examiners.

This legacy of courage, advocacy, and leadership continues to inform the work of our firm. It guides our belief that every client deserves not just representation, but a voice, and that the pursuit of justice is strengthened by those willing to lead and serve.
