Smith-Gordon Law Receives Prestigious 2023 Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg Diversity In The Workplace Award

WEST PALM BEACH, FL – The Law Office of Salesia V. Smith Gordon is the proud recipient of the Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg Diversity Award at the Justice Barbara Pariente Judicial Reception presented by the Palm Beach County Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers (FAWL).

Each year, the Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg Diversity in the Workplace Award is bestowed upon a single law firm in the county that best promotes diversity in the workplace through its hiring and advancement of women, including women of color and women of diverse racial/ethnic backgrounds, and supports and encourages family life for both women and men.

The Law Office of Salesia Smith-Gordon is an African American woman-owned, boutique personal injury law firm based in West Palm Beach, Florida, with a satellite office in Belle Glade, FL. Smith-Gordon Law boasts an extremely diverse workforce in gender, age, ethnicity, culture, languages, and disabilities, as reflected in Florida’s demographics and the firm’s clientele.  For more than 28 years, Smith-Gordon and her team have been honored to fight for justice on behalf of clients and, by doing so, give voice to many other citizens.

“For the last 28 years, I have tried to create an office environment of authenticity and belonging. A place where we listen to be heard, be understood, and celebrate our commonalities and uniqueness. The mix enhances our multicultural knowledge and respectfulness as individuals and as a team, which in turn helps us better represent our clients and community. The generational gap and cultural and language differences amongst the team are often bewildering and, at times, outright hilarious in the office. Most team members have been with the Smith-Gordon firm for over 15 years. We are much like a small United Nations family. We are serious about client and litigation matters but also remember the basic human need for empathy, self-care, and gratitude.”
