Balancing Life and Law: Salesia Smith-Gordon Panelist on Work-Life Balance Strategies

Salesia Smith-Gordon, Esq. had the privilege of serving as a panelist lecturer for the seminar titled “Navigating the Rough Seas: Achieving Work-Life Balance Amidst Trauma, Stress, and Isolation.” This Florida Bar-approved continuing legal education program aimed to equip legal professionals with tools to find equilibrium in their professional and personal lives. The seminar covered essential topics, including recognizing common stressors, building self-care routines, and adopting coping mechanisms to handle challenges. It also explored ways to utilize helpful technology for managing personal responsibilities alongside courtroom duties effectively.

This seminar adopted an interactive format, which encouraged open dialogue and engagement among participants. By doing so, attendees gained a deeper understanding of how to juggle the demands of a legal career while honoring their personal commitments and staying connected to their communities. During my presentation, I shared actionable insights drawn from my own experiences in navigating these challenges.
